Costume designers including Sandy Powell, Robert Turturice, and Michael Travis were honored for their career achievements in costume design. “What would Tarzan be without his loincloth?” Emily Blunt said on stage at Thursday’s Costume Designers Guild Awards. Sadly she was not pondering a potential movie role for her fiancé, John Krasinski. The Brit was accepting the Swarovski Award from the CDG for the sartorial side of her acting career.
Parker Posey hosted guests and presenters including Nicole Kidman, Anna Kendrick, Minka Kelly, Kristen Bell and funnyman Eddie Izzard.
