What is the world doing on 25th December this year? The answer is an obvious one! Celebrating Christmas. But is it what everyone is doing? I mean celebrating Christmas? Not really…
There are huge number of Christan in under-developed countries that are too scared to share their identity as minority in these countries; leave alone the case of celebrating Christmas openly. For instance; the case of Christan minorities in Pakistan is terrible. Apart from the ordinary minorities, the country has also had its minorities ministry murdered last year for charges that were of religious nature.
Since then, there have been reports that many are most of the time forces or asked in one way or the other to change their religion. Christan students often face this difficulty in schools and other institutions. The intensity of religious distinction in Pakistan has intensified so much that you will rarely find one person who would say they were not asked to change their religion.
A common observation has also proved that the self confidence of Christan minorities is very low in comparison to others. They are discriminated during their jobs at any level.
A report also states that frustration is increasing among these minorities too which may also result in a mishap in the already stressed area of the world.
The date 25th December in Pakistan is celebrated as the birthday of their national leader Quaid e Azam Muhmmad Ali Jinnah while on the other had churches celebrate and organize their Christmas events.
