The singing and cheering began as Adam Scott went to the 18th green to complete a command performance yesterday at the invitation of Bridgestone in Akron, Ohio, and win his first world championship golf.
But in a surreal scene at Firestone, it was not for him.
They were intended for his younger brother.
Steve Williams said, they shouted as the new partner Scott broke into a smile.
Celebration has made it clear that Steve Williams seemed to be fired immediately after Tiger Woods last month. After the interview, it was over – Yes, he gave interviews – made it sound as if Williams, who shot 5-under-par 65 at one point, Williams was described as a good advantage when they are caddying.

I caddied 33 years – 145 to win now – and is the best win I’ve ever had, Williams said, the 18th green. This from a guy whose 12 years he worked at Woods on display 13 large companies and 16 world titles between 72 to win the championship. It includes the 2001 Masters, when Woods won an unprecedented fourth straight.
Obviously, Williams is still angry by the way – and when – Woods cut losses. He challenged Woods’s version of what happened, Woods said, saying the phone, not in person.
Scott does not seem to care that his younger brother became the most attention.
I can talk to Steve today and not Tiger, Scott said to laughter, referring to the countless times he and other players were asked about Woods. I’m sure there are many other golfers who do not mind, either.
The final chapter of the saga involving endless Woods took off peak performance by Scott, who has not made a bogey on his final 26 holes and could not afford the 19-year Ryo Ishikawa give everything could manage.
They were never separated by more than one shot, until Scott chipped through the green side of 12, then rolled in a birdie from 30 feet just inside the 14 to build a three-stroke lead . Ishikawa three put on 15 and Scott had no trouble closing this one out.
