Ali bachelor:’The Bachelor’ pulls an Ed

Breaking entertainment news reports “The Bachelor” goes for drama but ends up at mild surprise. Everything seemed perfect when Bachelor contestant Ali brought Jake Pavelka to her hometown. Ali made wishes on falling leaves, brought Jake to her dead grandmother’s house, and introduced him to her family (Her mother even had a gut feeling he was the one). “I want to be there in the end,” Ali told Jake at the end of the hometown date. “If you asked me today, I would say yes.”
Then came the bombshell Bachelor producers have been teasing since last week. Ali, who is an advertising account manager, decided to leave the show because her job gave her an ultimatum: leave the show or leave your job. A tearful Ali asked Jake for help with the decision — in other words, she was fishing for a guarantee that she would be picked in the end. Jake couldn’t give her that, even though he did want her to stay. Instead he gave her level-headed advice like “Life is about minimizing your regrets. You just have to weigh which one is going to be a bigger regret.”
“It’s like the two loves of my life I feel like I have to choose between,” she said. In the end, Ali decided that the biggest regret would be to leave her job for Jake, even though he eventually told her if she chose to leave he would be devastated.
“If you were mine the choice would be easy,” Ali said. “I feel like you’re slipping right through my fingers and I don’t know how to stop you.” Jake said in the aww inducing moment of the night. As he closed the limo door, Ali said, “I’m so sorry.”
