So, I decided to make a list of all those ingredients that have been published as helping in preventing some disease. Here they are:

Chocolate: Chocolate is one of the most researched elements and each time we hear and read a news thing about chocolate which goes like this:

• Chocolate may help in preventing stroke. This research was based on the fact that those people who have been eating chocolate were 22 per cent less expected to have a stroke than those that did not.

• Dark Chocolate helps in maintain a healthy skin: This post was a bit shocking for many as it talks about something no one ever believed. According to prior believe many assumed that dark chocolate was reason for acne but this latest research said that it would keep your skin healthy and youthful. These beans are the best source of antioxidants and cocoa butter is also extracted from the cocoa bean which is very healthy and advantageous for the skin. Child Health Day 2011 educates mothers about underweight children

In such a case, you either need to make sure that your child does not eat any of that stuff or make sure you give him a glass of milk before going to bed.

Now that you have found exact reason why your child is underweight or is losing weight, you can tackle his/her situation accordingly.
• A mother must have a schedule for her children’s diet. The diet should include fresh vegetables and fruits.
• Milk is one of the most important and fundamental ingredient of a child’s diet. Make sure your kid does not create a stressful relation with milk, which is turning very common these days. Make it the habit of your kid to drink atleast one cup of milk every night before sleeping. And I suggest milk bottles are the best way to feed milk. Though, you will come across many that do not find bottles a very healthy mode of diet yet, personally it has worked for my both kids.
• Milkshakes are a faster and healthier mode of diet. If your kid is coming back home from his music or sports class, you should have that egg, milk and almond shake ready in the refrigerator. Try to make as much fresh juices in home as possible. Many kids like banana shake while my kids’ personal favorite is mango shake. You may also try our strawberry shake. These days mothers can find loads of milk shale recipes online.
• Have a regular weight checkup of your kid. If you find that your kid is underweight, you may use some appetizers, supplements and energy drinks.

Nutrition month encourages exclusive breastfeeding

This year celebration of Nutrition Month is based on the promotion and support of breastfeeding exclusively. This announcement was made by National Nutrition Council-6.

Founded on the celebration’s conversation facts made by the NNC, the theme “Isulong ang BRESTFEEDING TSEK – Tama, Sapat, EKslusibo supports the call of the Department of Health for all sectors to help promote, protect and support correct breastfeeding practices.

Dr. Anthony Redaniel, MDGF-2030 Field coordinator for exclusive breastfeeding, said “Tama” stands for the right practice of letting instant skin-to-skin contact amid mother and baby after birth, and beginning of breastfeeding within the first hour of life.

He said “Sapat” is destined to guarantee the mother that little breast milk is sufficient for the 1st week and that everyday breastfeeding confirms nonstop breastmilk supply to answer to the growing needs of the baby.

“EKslusibo” on the other hand, Redaniel said, promotes that for the first 6 months; only breastmilk and no other liquid should be given to the baby as it has all the nutrients and water that the baby needs.
The significance of breastfeeding can be evaluated from the fact that babies that do not take breast milk re often found more ill than those that have continuous breastmilk.

Why Some Mother’s do not prefer breastfeeding?

One reason why mother do not give breast milk is because they find the position hard to manage immediately after delivering the child. It is the stiches that make it difficult to sit in a normal position. In such senerios, it is important for the partner and father of child to help the mother sit comfortably by managing her position where she feels comfortable.

Another reason why women do not give milk is for the fact that they feel it disturbs their sleep every night to feed the child. Being a mother, it is her responsibility to take care of the child needs and one needs to remind herself that the child will grow soon and this will not be this way forever. So just to take a few good night sleeps should not be a priority. I personally have seen many women who feel very bad about not giving milk to their babies as infants.

USA Faces Record Measles Cases In 15 Years

Just in initial 4 months of year 2011, US has seen 118 reported cases of measles. The statistics of these cases have been selected from 23 states. This is the highest number of measles cases after 1996. Since 1990 an endemic or sustained measles transmission has not taken place in US.

From year 2001 to 2008 56 measles cases were reported while 118 just the initial 19 weeks of 2011 is a large increase.
According to the reports and statistics 89% of the cases are having a history link of importation from abroad. 34 of them were American’s that came back home while 12 were foreign visitors.

It is urged by CDC that people should get vaccinated against measles. The main reason to get these vaccines is the increased number of measles patients.

Here is an analysis of reported measles cases according to age:
• 15% (18) – less than twelve months
• 20% (24) – 1 to 4 years
• 19% (23) – 5 to 19 years
• 45% (53) – at least twenty years

High bacteria levels found in meat at U.S. stores

A research was released on Friday that stated that meat stores in US have high level of bacteria. The grocery stores shelves mostly have these bacteria’s that are more than half of the bacteria resistant to multiple types of antibiotics.
Though the meat is safe but the customers should take precaution while handling and cooking the meat.

136 meat samples were checked from 26 different grocery stores in Illinois Florida, Arizona, Washington and California by the Translational Genomics Research Institute which is a nonprofit biomedical research group. The head of the study Dr. Lance Price, stated that high levels of Staphylococcus aureus (S.Aureus) bacteria were found in the meat.

“Staph causes hundreds of thousands of infections in the United States every year,” Price said in an interview. “It causes a whole slew of infections ranging from skin infections to really bad respiratory infections like pneumonia.”
The findings are already known to the Food and Drug Administration. The head of the research said that the most important finding is not the level of bacteria on the meats, but rather how the bacteria are becoming strongly resistant to antibiotics used to treat animals before slaughter.

“The bacteria is always going to be there. But the reason why they’re resistant is directly related to antibiotic use in food animal production,” Price said. “Antibiotic resistance is one of the greatest threats to public health we face today.”
“This is one more reason to be very careful when you’re handling raw meat and poultry in the kitchen,” Price said. “You can cook away these bacteria. But the problem is when you bring in that raw product, you almost inevitably contaminate your kitchen with these bacteria.”

A recent experiment was conducted to know if humans can go back to sleep conveniently if they open just one eye from their half time of sleep.
This experiment took place by few individuals who try to create methods to make life convenient. In the experiment a girl was asked to take normal sleep and then she was awoke from her half sleep.
Before she went to sleep, she was briefed some details including that when she will be asked to wake up after half time of her normal sleep, she should open only one eye keeping in mind that she has to go back to sleep again in a while.

During the experiment when she was awoke she opened only one eye and after answering a few simple routine questions she was asked to go back to sleep again.
In the end of experiment it was asked, if she found it difficult to sleep back or was there a comfort while putting herself in sleep again. She answered yes, she found it a lot easier to go back to sleep again in comparison to routine life where once she is awakes for some reason from her sleep and has to sleep again.
This experiment was conducted on numerous people later and all concluded that it was much easier to sleep back if they open only one eye after they wake up from their half sleep.
The experiment also concludes that functions of human mind do not completely depend on what human mind thinks but also what different functions human body performs.

So all those who have been annoyed why they are asked to wake up or are woken up from their sleep because the baby is crying or there is noise outside the window or they had to drink water; here is the solution, in any of such situations, you only need to open one eye when you wake up and go back to sleep faster than before.

A little girl affected by Parry Romberg Syndrome
