Diaspora, the future of social networking

December 16, 2011

A number of people really like Facebook, some others dislike it, and most have a little of the two. It can be a wonderful means to be in touch with good old buddies as well as family members, however it’s additionally an effective way intended for third parties in order to collect loads of free information which is probably not put to use how you desire. Numerous social websites have jumped up through the years having expectations about dethroning Facebook, although not many have experienced the goods, or perhaps actually they didn’t offered very much that could attract a user to switch.

Recently, a couple of students met up and thought to take steps somewhat unique: an open as well as distributed online community which will not depend on a single organization or even internet site in order to sponsor all the information. Rather, someone who wants can make a node for their buddies. Moreover users of these nodes can easily connect free of giving over all their particular information. This really is Diaspora.

The term Diaspora is actually Greek in origin.
Diaspora stands for the motion, migration, or perhaps spreading of individuals faraway from a well accredited or ancestral homeland.

Diaspora is supposed to deal with personal privacy issues regarding centralized social networks by means of permitting people create their very own server (or “pod”). This is done to host information; pods are able to communicate and to express status changes, images, along with other sociable information. It also permits its users to be able to web host their particular information by having a conventional web host, any cloud-based host, an ISP, or a buddy. The platform, which is to be created about Ruby on Rails, is absolutely free software program and can be tried out by alternative programmers.

The Diaspora online social network or online community is made from a network involving nodes, or perhaps pods, managed through a variety of people and also organizations. Each and every node is operated as a personal internet server by running a duplicate from the Diaspora software program. People from the community may make a free account with any kind of server of their decision, yet they can easily connect to other people on other servers.

Ilya Zhitomirskiy a 22 year old online community founder and also Web privateness supporter who have the courage to difficult task Face book and Google, is departed. He passed away Saturday following San Francisco police were called for a documented suicide, police force spokesman Officer Albie Esparza mentioned.

Mr Zhitomirskiy appeared to be among the creators of Diaspora*, a whole new social network program intended to offer users much more management of their data on the internet. He desired to be able to attract people far from more prominent websites including Facebook, Google and Twitter

Diaspora’s principal characteristics are as follows:
1. Either personal and also real-time posting regarding images and also status information.
2. Some other social media addition.
3. Some sort of twitter design API.
4. Junk e-mail elimination methods (ultimately!).
5. The flexibleness during determining people functions or role in life apart from buddies or family members.
6. Taggable images.
7. A in back of the engine management program!
8. Third-party assistance integration.

Diaspora continues to have got the champion in the hole that is their particular Pods performance. The application might just be that Diaspora is actually in advance of it’s time. Perhaps the typical person isn’t prepared to operate their particular online community on independent server. Majority of person may not hold the time frame or perhaps power. However for me personally, that is the appeal and also may be the future regarding online community the location where the community is within your hands, definitely not someone else’s.

Some people love Facebook, others hate it, and many have a little of both. It can be a great way to keep in contact with old friends and relatives, but it’s also a great way for third parties to harvest loads of free data that may not be used the way you want. Plenty of social sites have popped up over the years in the hopes of dethroning Facebook, but not many have had the goods, or really provided much that would entice a user to switch.

Not long ago, a couple students got together and decided to do something a little different: an open and distributed social network that did not rely on a single company or website to host all the data. Instead, anyone who wishes can create a node for their friends, and users of these nodes can communicate without handing over all their data. This is Diaspora
The word Diaspora is Greek in origin
Diaspora means the movement, migration, or scattering of people away from an established or ancestral homeland..
Diaspora is intended to address privacy concerns related to centralized social networks by allowing users set up their own server (or “pod”) to host content; pods can then interact to share status updates, photographs, and other social data. It allows its users to host their data with a traditional web host, a cloud-based host, an ISP, or a friend. The framework, which is being built on Ruby on Rails, is free software and can be experimented with by external developers.

The Diaspora social network is constructed of a network of nodes, or pods, hosted by many different individuals and institutions. Each node operates a copy of the Diaspora software acting as apersonal web server. Users of the network can create an account on any server of their choice, but can interact with other users on all other servers.

xxxxxxxxxnowxxxxxxxxxxx

A 22-year-old social networking pioneer and Internet privacy advocate who dared to challenge Facebook and Google is dead. Ilya Zhitomirskiy died Saturday after San Francisco police were summoned for a reported suicide, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
Mr Zhitomirskiy was one of the founders Diaspora*, a new social networking service meant to give users more control of their information online, and sought to lure people away from bigger sites like Facebook, Google and Twitter

Diaspora’s main feature list is as follows:
1. Both private and real time sharing of photos and status messages.
2. Other social networking integration (I foresee legal issues here, but perhaps that’s because I’m inherently paranoid).
3. A twitter style API.
4. Spam prevention tools (finally!).
5. Aspects: The flexibility in assigning people roles other than friends or family.
6. Taggable photos.
7. A behind the hood administrative interface!
8. Third-party services integration.

Diaspora still has the ace in the hole which is their Pods functionality. It could just be that Diaspora is ahead of it’s time. Maybe the average user isn’t ready to run their own social network on their own server. Maybe the average user doesn’t have the time or energy. But for me, that is the appeal and could be the future of social networking where the network is in your hands, not somebody else’s.

Bill Gates: A Satanist Disguised as an Entrepreneur

November 5, 2011

I do not intend to enlighten you with details of “WOW” features of Bill Gate’s life or 15-20 facts you didn’t knew about him. Instead I intend to give you a very brief insight into the Satanist his agendas are if he isn’t himself. So here goes:

1. William Henry Gates III known as our beloved Bill Gates III, chairman of Microsoft Corporation, was born to a wealthy upper middle class couple William Henry Gates Sr., a prominent lawyer, and Mary Maxwell Gates, a member of the board of directors for First interstate Bank System and the united Way, in Seattle on October 28, 1955. He got married to Melinda in 1994 with whom he met at a Microsoft press event at Manhattan. His creation “MS Windows” and other applications already have millions of “slaves” all over the world. This wasn’t enough so he thought of another lucrative way to control the masses.

2. Bill laid the foundation of B&MGF in 1994 with an initial stock gift of US$94 million. Bill gave another US$126 million to it in 2000. There is something fishy about the growing size of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. It has grown five times larger than the Ford Foundation. Bill’s foundation is a financial member of Lucis Subgroup of “Lucis Trust” (basically Lucifer trust) which is a crucial division of a satanic cult controlling the western world. Nope, Bill is neither a Freemason nor Illuminati, but his foundation received a generous $31 billion from Warren Buffett, a giant investor and CEO of Berkshire Hathaway, who is a Freemason indeed. This connection is a no-strings attached financial marriage between Bill’s foundation and the occult Freemason fraternity.

3. The Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation has been funding technologies designed to monopolize sterilization and vaccination programs worldwide. One of the programs would help a man become infertile for six months by blasting ultrasound rays directly against his scrotum. That is one freaky vasectomy technology because it makes me think that if ultrasound can destroy sperms then how the hell would it be harmless to a fetus?

4. The Bill and Melinda Foundation is funding a covert program publicized as “Vaccine Delivery triggered by Sweat” program that uses nano-particles penetrating human skin which are activated upon contact with sweat to release the vaccine. Now this one is very creepy because we can be subjected to it without our knowledge. These particles can be sprayed upon us in an airport or can be disguised in a suntan/sunscreen lotion for instance. What scares me is that these nano-particles supposed to be of help to us can be used to infect us with alien DNA or some genetically engineered disease. It can’t get worse than this.

5. Bill’s Microsoft Corporation deliberately shapes the media in its favor by paying BBC millions of dollars to get coverage on CNBC and BBC. Bill hired a Media Relations person from BBC in an attempt to buy success stories in global health and development category planting his alleged agendas in every trusted publication possible. If Bill donates over $7 million through his foundation to research projects, he surely knows of its profits and I certainly do not think it is meant to be a beneficial investment for the masses; of course it surely is for Bill and his Wife.

Google Deactivating Adsense Accounts

October 18, 2011

Thousands of AdSense accounts get banned for invalid activity.

It is reported that a huge number of AdSense accounts are banned all around the world. The message the account holders are getting is “Invalid activity”. So this makes it clear that the accounts are banned because of invalid activity. But what is this invalid activity as the accounts had been earning since long.

Is Google focusing on content farms or is it search engine optimization of particular high paying keywords? As far as I think, it would be both. Google Panda update stated that SEO is not going to work anymore for ranking on search engine the way it did before and it has been a general trend online that many websites begin SEO for high paying keywords for each year. Most of these websites do not have enough or adequate information on the keywords though and are in a way content farms.

Just previously Google Panda had dropped many websites and blogs traffic tremendously and now it seems Google is working on its AdSense product. AdSense has been among the only modes of making money online for many website. It has been considered as the most popular way to earn online but now with this update, it seems the many other content farms are going to see a tough time.

One of my internet contacts told me about this update, though I personally have not found any news or update of this
sort online. As soon as we get more on this we will let you know.

As far as Google itself has not said anything of the type on its blog. What we got from Google blog update is that Google is planning to shut some of its products and they include; Code Search, Google Buzz and Google API. The reason stated by Google for closing these products stated is that the company is focusing on Google + instead. Moreover, Jaiku too will shut down by 2012.

The above update did not mention or talk anything about Adsense but it appears the company actually is doing more and more to review its standard. Copyright © 2011

Top Five Internet People You Must Know For Their Controversies And Significant Positions

October 11, 2011

News Worldwide – You would have heard it time and again that internet world is what controls the world today and I want to add more to this that if you are not internet savvy you are nothing. Therefore, before indulging yourself into the complexities of internet world, here is a short and quick review of the top 5 internet people that are famous and most talked about internet personalities for their significant positions and controversies.

1. Mark Zuckerberg:

The CEO of Facebook need no introduction but as we know there are yet many who do not know much about internet, this is for them. He was born in 1984, which makes him 27 years old this year and this 27 years old guy own $17.5 billion in the same year. Quite a rich dude at 27. Anyway, there are loads of controversies associated with Mark Zuckerberg too and one of them is that he is not the real man behind the idea of Facebook. He is a Jew and the movie “the social network” was inspired by his project facebook. The guy is known more for his position than facebook controversy.

2. Julian Assange:

The term hackers comes into the minds of all those who hear the name of Julian Assange. He is the owner of most controversial website “Wiki leaks” which seems to have frightened not just individuals but even entire states of the world. Assange was born in 1971 and is Australian national. Though, he is not just a hacker but his expertise’s have been enormous in the mentioned category. This guy is known for the controversy of wiki leaks more than his position.

3. Eric Schmidt, Larry Page, and Sergey Brin:

These guys are the Chief executives at Google. They are certainly known for the position they hold which is today controlling the world. Google is the most trafficked search engine in the world with most number of pages indexed and crawled every minute. Despite, it is said that there is no internet monopoly but trust me they have it and it is because of the attraction, user friendly theme and other Google products.

4. Steve Jobs: The guy died a few days back but still is on number 4 on our list. He was the CEO of Apple. He was famous for his position and brain. His quotations are referred most of the time on internet when it is about something brain and technology.

5. Jimmy Wales:
This guy is the founder of world renowned website “Wikipedia”. One place where you can have all the info needed. Personally, I have found many people browsing it while it comes about basic or initial information about anything. It is a branded website I should say. So Jimmy Wales is recognized for his position at Wikipedia. Copyright © 2011

Remembering Steve Jobs from a Historical Perspective

October 7, 2011

News WorldwideSteve Jobs, a visionary, tremendously talented and one of the most celebrated greatest American CEO of his time, Co-founder and former CEO of the world’s most renowned technological giant Apple Inc. died “peacefully” surrounded by his family at his home at the age of 56 on Wednesday October 5, 2011. Steve Jobs Death has triggered online pouring of tributes and condolences.

History of Jobs

Steve Jobs was born in 1955 to Abdulfattah John Jandali and Joanne Schieble (Job’s biological parents) in San Francisco. His parents gave him up for adoption when he was born. Paul and Clara a couple from Mountain View California adopted him shortly in February 1955. The couple moved to Palo Alto California due to Job’s dislikes of his school. In Palo Alto he attended Cupertino Junior High and Homestead High School. After graduation in 1972 Jobs joined Reed College in Portland, Oregon where he spent only one semester and dropped out. In 1974 Jobs was hired by Atari, a manufacturer of video games.

Steve Jobs along with Steve Wozniak and Ronald Wayne founded Apple in 1976. The first CEO of Apple was Mike Scott recruited by Steve in 1978. Steve recruited John Sculley to become the second CEO of Apple just a year before Steve introduced “Macintosh”, on January 24, 1984 in Apple’s annual meeting of shareholders. Macintosh became a commercially successful computer that introduced a graphic user interface for the first time which was replicated by other companies later on. Due to some working relationship problems with Sculley Steve was relieved of his job in May 1985.

After being hired by NEXT in 1985 and staying there till 1996, Steve made it back to Apple when NEXT was acquired by Apple in 1997 for $429 million. Steve became a formal interim CEO in September 1997 after Gil Amelio’s drive out in July. Steve became a permanent CEO of Apple in 2000. As Steve’s health began deteriorating rapidly throughout the decade he resigned as a CEO in august 2011 but stayed as Chairman of the board.

Health Issues and Death.

Steve was diagnosed with a rare cancerous tumor in his pancreas in mid 2004. After undergoing a pancreaticoduodenectomy in July 2004 the tumor seemed to have been removed. His resistances against his doctor’s recommendations made his health deteriorate at a rapid pace. Rumors about his health would come alive each time he would make an appearance at an expo appearing to be weak and thin or assigning someone else for briefing on a product instead of him. As the speculations became tougher to thwart, Steve made a statement on January 5, 2009 on Apple.com in which he said that he had been suffering from some sort of hormonal imbalance for a long time. On January 14th 2009 he said that “Complexity of my health issues have exceeded my expectations” and took a six month leave. Tim Cook took his place as CEO of Apple until Steve recovered completely. Fate kept playing with Steve when his prognosis was stated as ‘excellent” after he had a liver transplant in April 2009 at Methodist University Hospital Transplant Institute in Memphis, Tennessee.

Steve returned to Apple after the transplant on January 17th 2011 and made appearances at iPad 2 and iCloud launch event and other similar events until he couldn’t carry on and resigned from his role as CEO on August 24th 2011. Steve’s family made a statement on October 5, 2011 that Steve Jobs “died peacefully today”. Copyright © 2011

There are people who use iPhone but do not know who Steve Jobs was

October 7, 2011

News Worldwide Steve Jobs is dead but his contribution to the world of advancement remains. Ironically, I know people who are having iPhones in their hands and are very proud to own one but do not know who Steve Jobs was.

The reason for not knowing Steve Jobs is not that they are idiots of their kind but rather the fact that his technology was even for those who remain unthankful to the world and its wonders.

I also want to add and clarify here that when I say unthankful to the world I do not mean thanking the air and flowers but people around you. Who have made the colors in your life, of whom you are too proud to share with every stranger.
I just had to say something about such people because it is the time to realize and recognize the fact that how each and every single drop of contribution is important and now that we have lost the wave “Steve Jobs” we must talk louder about it. One of the most wonderful things about this man was that his technology was for everyone. It is not just me who can use iPhone but my 60 years father can even use it.

SO for those who do not know who Steve Jobs was here is a short introduction of this iconic individual. Steve Jobs was the head of Apple (the iPhone, which you have in your hand). He was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer in 2004 but did not take his doctor’s advice and treatment for nine months.

He resigned from the post of CEO apple a while back because of his serious health conditions. The day he resigned from Apple, the shares of the company dropped enormously the same day. His quotations are referred at many occasions and he was one man of his own kind. The world is creating RIP pages for this man and there are millions of tweets and facebook status updates crashing in to pay tribute to this man. Copyright © 2011

Steve Jobs Death Made Me Rethink; Cancer is Not a Curable Disease

October 7, 2011

• Steve Jobs did not take his medicine, when diagnosed with cancer for nine months
• Which type of cancer did Steve jobs had?
• Why did not Steve Jobs take his doctor’s advice for cancer treatment
• What would have been next, if Steve Jobs lived for some more years

News Worldwide Steve Jobs death has made many rethink on many facts of life. And among all one that came into my mind is cancer, which caused the death of this legendary man. For most of us cancer is a disease, which if diagnosed in early stages can be cured. Sounds good but is it a real fact? I do not think so.

There are no more than a dozen people, who have been diagnosed for cancer treatment in early stages of cancer and thus it does mean that when they enter hospital for cancer treatment, it is not actually cancer’s treatment or cure but rather a method used to extend the span on life of that person with cancer.

Which type of cancer Steve Jobs had?

Steve Jobs had pancreatic cancer. His treatment for this cancer begun at 2004 but as stated above it was more of a life extending treatment of cancer rather than a cure. Pancreatic cancer is one of the rare forms of cancer but this rarity does not confirm is deadliness. According to medical science this form of cancer is the most dangerous one.

Steve Jobs would have been aware of his cancer’s seriousness

Steve Jobs who is termed as the wizard of technology must have been aware of the seriousness of his disease and therefore resigned just a while back. I do not know what Steve Jobs believed about his cancer treatment but he sure would have known that he does not have any more of the time and thus resigned. His resignation was also big news.

Steve Jobs did not take his medicine after when diagnosed with cancer for nine months.

It really annoyed me to learn that when Steve was diagnosed with cancer in 2004, he did not go with his treatment and doctor advice for nine months. And as an alternative he used some alternative medicine. Now whatever the reason Steve had in mind, it does give an idea that he was not serious about this disease and took it for granted. I still do not state that the treatment would have saved or cured him but I am sure we would have seen him around for a few more years. And every day of such people is innovation. We certainly would have come across some other fabulous forms of new technological advancement if Steve would have been around for few more years.

Recently, Spartacus lead actor also died of cancer and he was in his early 30’s. There is a long list of famous people that have cancer and die. All these lead me to conclude for sure that cancer is not curable but its treatment is a way to increase few years of life. Copyright © 2011

Steve Jobs Quotations Have Had Been Inspiration For Many In His Life And Afterwards

October 6, 2011

News Worldwide The more I have been thinking about this person, the more facts have been jamming my mind with this man’s charisma. This time, I just recalled one big internet search which was none other than “Steve Jobs Quotes”. There are several websites and blog on internet that are in particular made for only Steve Jobs quotes. His quotes have been inspiring many since long and now that he is gone they certainly will turn to part of internet golden history.

His quotations will be referred time and again and will be used to inspire more and other upcoming generations. The man who had been quoting many ideas, is today quoted by many. We are receiving record breaking RIP messages from his fans and follower from all over the world.

Here, I am not going to mention any of Steve Jobs quotes but will rather try to discuss the mindset of the man who revolutionized time and space. Among my personal favorite Steve Jobs quote was:

“A lot of companies have chosen to downsize, and maybe that was the right thing for them. We chose a different path. Our belief was that if we kept putting great products in front of customers, they would continue to open their wallets.”

This particular Steve Jobs quotation does not only describes what is his strategy to get the customers buy their products but rather he is optimistic about the fact that people do not limit their desires because they do not have money but rather the products are not good enough. Moreover, this quote also shows that the guy was optimistic. He did not talk about hope but was affirmative for his steps and their outcome. The most amazing par to this quotation is that he is talking about other companies which happen to be their adversaries or competitors but you do not find an insulting or degrading tone in his sentence. He is using the most amazing business language which is taught in business schools.
It will not be wrong if it is said that the guy was an institution in himself.

I can also recall the day when Steve Jobs resigned from Apple and how the shares of the company fell on the same day. This is what people and companies used to think about him. Many thought it is the only who is running the entire company. He was not just a CEO but a leader in himself. An iconic one, which was most of the time out of controversies. He did not follow fame in his life but it was the fame that followed him in life and afterwards. Copyright © 2011

The Father of Macintosh and Co-Founder of Apple Inc. “Steve Jobs” Death is Most Talked about Internet Event

October 6, 2011

News Worldwide — News came in on Wednesday October 5, 2011 that the father of Macintosh and the brilliant brain behind development of iPhone, iPod and iPad died from cancer at the age of 56. Announcement of Steve Jobs Death came in late from Apple on Wednesday at its official website which read;

“Apple has lost a visionary and creative genius and the world has lost an amazing human being. Those of us who have been fortunate enough to know and work with Steve have lost a dear friend and an inspiring mentor. Steve leaves behind a company that only he could have built, and his spirit will forever be the foundation of Apple.”

Steve Jobs death came as a shock and triggered a worldwide mourning. With condolences pouring in from everywhere, in my opinion Steve Jobs is the first mega loss of this century. It is said by social media analysts that Steve’s death is going to be the most talk-about internet event of all times. Estimated by an Australian monitoring agency SR7 a massive 10,000 tweets per second and rising may smash media interactivity level of all times.

Websites have taken shape of memorials including Apple’s official website. News channels are informing their audiences about death of Steve Jobs. The devices that Steve built informed its millions of users worldwide that he has departed. Statements of woes are pouring in from executives of Google to those of Facebook, public statements from Bill Gates to President Obama.

A few of them are:
President Barrack Obama said in a statement: “Michelle and I are saddened to learn of the passing of Steve Jobs. Steve was among the greatest of American innovators – brave enough to think differently, bold enough to believe he could change the world, and talented enough to do it.”

Bill Gates and Paul Allen issued a statement: “The death of Steve Jobs has, and will continue to dominate the blogospheres and news feeds for several days to come—and rightly so. Few people have had such a significant and measureable impact on modern life, and his absence will be felt.”

Jerry Brown Governor of California said; “Steve Jobs was a great California innovator who demonstrated what a totally independent and creative mind can accomplish. Few people have made such a powerful and elegant imprint on our lives. Anne and I wish to express our deepest sympathy to Steve’s wife, Laurene, and their entire family.”
Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg stated: “Steve, thank you for being a mentor and a friend. Thanks for showing that what you build can change the world. I will miss you.”

We never would’ve wondered how Steve Jobs changed our lives until today. It was him who made computer a personal machine. We may have had many at our offices but it was him who got us to have in our living rooms, dorm rooms, bedrooms, and even in our pockets. We may continue to see replication of his ideas around us in the future but we won’t be seeing astounding innovations the way he used to give us. We’ll miss you Steve Jobs.

Were we not supposed to Preserve Steve jobs brain like Einstein?

October 6, 2011

News worldwide – It was Steve Jobs who connected the dots but do we actually understand who he was? Steve Jobs was the brain of Apple. Many knew him as a humble and down to earth guy. He rarely talked about himself and that is what made him respectable despite his status and professional rivalries.

The technology that revolutionized world had Steve Jobs so why not save his brain? You would have heard for sure that Albert Einstein’s brain was removed for preservation after his death in a hope that one day science may find a way of sharing the intelligence this brain had.

Similarly, I do believe that Steve Jobs death should not be a full stop to his life and
I suggest that Steve Jobs brain should also be preserved. But before I would have posted this article live. I came across the news that he is buried. But still if in any way we can preserve Steve Jobs brain, we should use that opportunity.
May be one day science does actually find a way to see how his technology can be further advanced. His achievements are not hidden and there are more than hundreds of websites, blogs, magazines and social media channels that are talking about his life, contributions and more.

But now that Jobs is dead and lives no more, we need to salute this guy in a way that does talk about who he was. I am coming across many comments and reviews on Steve Jobs death but I actually want to suggest to all the fans and followers of this guy that come forward and share this post that asks for preservation of Steve Jobs brain.
