CT scan with less radiations
February 27, 2010
News Worldwide — A latest information in current events technology has been added that the imaging exam of the heart can be done by the usage of latest CT technology that enables 91 percent less exposure of the patient to radiations as compared to the standard helical CT scanning.
Andrew J. Einstein, M.D., Ph.D. revealed, “Coronary CT angiography has generated great enthusiasm in recent years, due to its diagnostic accuracy in assessing patients with known or suspected coronary artery disease.

In current events technology, during CT, several r-ray beams and x-ray detectors rotate around the individual. They calculate the amount of radiation that the body keeps on absorbing. At the same moment, the exam table goes in the scanner permitting the x-ray beam to make a helical path.
Dr. Einstein said that the through imaging the intact heart as a single piece, volume scanning excludes relics because of seams or spaces between image sections and the x-ray tube is left only for a small period of time that is 0.35 seconds. He also said emphatically that the practitioners should pay full careful attention while the usage of scan mode to make less exposure of the patient to radiations and for getting better results.
Got something to say?
