Worldwide news—disease prevention: Sexually Transmitted Diseases or STDs are a big problem of societies these days. The disease prevention experts told the news reporters that awareness regarding STDs could be the first step towards disease prevention.
STDs are the diseases or infections that are transmitted from one individual to another individual by sexual contact. The disease prevention, research workers told the news reporters that above 15 million cases of sexually transmitted disease can be found in United States of America annually. More than 25 diseases are found that can be transmitted from individual to individual through sexual activities. HIV, hepatitis A, B and C and AIDS are commonly found sexually transmitted diseases. On the other hand, Chlamydia, Syphilis, Gonorrhea, Genital herpes, Human papillomavirus, Trichomoniasis and bacterial vaginosis are most commonly found infections due to sexual contact.
The disease prevention experts have told the news reporters that it is very important for the young adults and teen agers to have information regarding STDs because almost 19 million new diseases happen to occur each year and approximately half of them are among individuals aging 15 to 24.
According to disease prevention experts, there are some sexually transmitted diseases that can have fatal results if not treated, particularly in women. Therefore, individuals having sexual activities must have STS testing.
