What to do with a suicidal

Suicides, suicidal thoughts and attempts are the consequences of psychological diseases. The psychological disease symptoms are more commonly found in women than men. Usually major depression results in suicide or suicidal attempts.

A study has made it evident that the men commit suicides more than women and women attempt suicides more than men do. Women have overall greater rates of depression than men. Such type of psychological disease symptoms should be well studied to save lives. The symptoms of suicide are following:
1. Showing desire of death: a suicidal person talks about dying. For example, shooting own self, cutting wrist, eating pills or any expression of self-damage.suicide prevention
2. A suicidal might recently have lost a precious relationship, or might have experienced any other tragedy.
3. A suicidal loses faith in religion and shows no interest in friends and social gathering.
4. Signs of depression will be common. For example, fatigue, anxiousness and restlessness.
5. Sleeping disturbances will be commonly noticed. Insomnia (no sleep) or hypersomnia (over sleeping) will be seen in a suicidal person.
6. The behavior of such a person is changed. The everyday life tasks are troubled.
7. Eating disorders might also be seen. For example, loss of appetite or excess of appetite and weight loss or weight gain.
8. The interest in enjoyable activities will be reduced. For example no sexual interest and irregularities in periods.
9. The suicidal person is trapped in the thoughts of inferiority complex, low self-esteem and self-hatred.
10. The person has the capability of losing control at any time and is even conscious of that.
11. A suicidal person sees no hope of betterment in future.
12. A suicidal person feels helpless.
If you find your own-self or any of your friend or relative showing these mental disease symptoms, immediately contact a psychologist. Follow these points:
It is better if you contact a loved one and about your feelings openly.
Reach to some professional that may be a counselor, a psychologist, therapist or a family doctor. If nothing is possible then visit a suicide prevention and crisis center.
Keep in mind that help is always there for you, you are not the only one in world with troubles, and there are many who would be going through same circumstances like you.
If someone has directly narrated suicidal wishes to you and the symptoms are also evident then you must take these steps:
1. No matter how much you are sworn to secrecy, you must consult a therapist explain everything regarding your beloved. If you do not do so, you will put your beloved’s life in danger.
2. Remove all the harmful substances and objects like pills, knife, poison and guns from the residence of your friend or beloved.
3. Be frank with your suicidal friend or beloved and talk openly about every issue. Do not open a big lecture just help by being normal and calm. Do not give only verbal comfort, instead, show some lights of hope.
