Emmy Award nominated Frances Reid, who played as Alice Horton for the entire 40 years on “Days of our Lives” which has been on the air. She was daytime television’s most beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She won the Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Actress/Mature Role in 1978, 1979, 1984 and 1985 and was nominated for an Emmy for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series in 1986/87 and for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Drama Series in 1978/79.Frances Reid was inducted into the Television Academy’s archives in 2003 and is being presented with a Lifetime Achievement Award by the Television Academy at the Daytime Emmy Awards in early 2004.
Celebrity latest news says that Frances Reid was born on December 9, 1914 and died February 3, 2010. She was an American actress. She was best known for her portrayal of Alice Horton on the American soap opera Days of our Lives from its debut in November 1965 until her final performance on December 26, 2007. She was married to the late actor Philip Bourneuf for 43 years.
