Amy Winehouse’s family unit hopes that she can not be kept in mind more than self-destructive behavior, and tabloid headliner.
Following the tragic death of the singer, have the same name of creating a charity in his honor.
Mitch Winehouse, Amy’s father, said at his funeral in London on Tuesday that it plans to create Foundation Amy Winehouse, according to the Daily Mail.
The organization will provide support for those working with substance abuse and possibly also include a rehabilitation center. The foundation also will benefit children and horses, both of which she was very passionate.
Mitch Winehouse was in New York with his parents when he learned of the death, reports the Daily Mail At the time, knew what to do:
I was when I heard my cousin, Michael, and as soon as I said I wanted Amy Winehouse foundation, something to help things he loved – children, horses, but also to help those who struggle with substance abuse.
He added that the Foundation plans to Amy Winehouse have their roots in the hope of a systemic change.
