On January 8, 1911 in Seattle, Washington, with the real name Rose Louise Havoc was Gypsy Rose Lee born.
Gypsy Rose Lee was renowned for her striptease act but Gypsy Rose Lee was also playwright, actress and author and renowned for her role in the Gypsy a musical film in 1957.
Gypsy Rose Lee `s parent were separated when she was young. Gypsy Rose Lee and her sister supported the family whilst acting on the street stage. Gypsy Rose Lee remained in the back ground while her sister June Havoc performed on the stage. At the age of 15 Gypsy Rose Lee begin to appear on the stage as tap dance.
Gypsy Rose Lee had perfect blend with her sister June Havoc as Gypsy Rose Lee sings and Lee dances. But sooner Gypsy Rose Lee realized that she would be successful in the burlesque rather then dancing so Gypsy Rose Lee begin burlesque act of striptease which was a very popular act in those times.

Gypsy Rose Lee moved to the New York where she begins her film career such as you Can’t Have Everything, Sally, Irene and Mary, Babes in Bagdad, Battle of Broadway, Around the World of Mike Todd and many more. Meanwhile during her struggle in the films Gypsy Rose Lee regularly appeared on the Television such as The Gypsy Rose Lee Show, Gypsy, The Pruitts of Southampton and many other shows. Gypsy Rose Lee also wrote a books like Mother Finds a Body, The G-String Murders and Gypsy, A Memoir.
Gypsy Rose Lee died on April 26, 1970 at the age of 59 in LA. Gypsy Rose Lee now once again remembered as her show memoirs of Gypsy Rose Lee is playing in the Broadway.
