1. Justin Drew Bieber is Canadian born pop/R&B singer. He is a Christian and visits church regularly.
2. Justin was born, weighing 7 pounds and 11 ounces, to Patricia Lynn (also known as Pattie Mellette) and Jeremy Jack Bieber on March 1, 1994, in London, Ontario.
3. Patricia is of French-Canadian descent and was raised as a single mother, who she became at the age of 18, by Mellette.
4. Justin’s great-grandfather was a German immigrant to Canada. While Justin is fluent in French but really bad at German, he once caused a poor girl fan of his to faint when he tried speaking German with “Ich Liebe Dich” which means “I Love You”.
5. Justin was brought up in Canada (Stratford, Ontario) by his mother and Mellette who worked on low salaries. His father had married Erin Bieber and has two children.
6. As a child, Justin used to take Karate Classes and play hockey, soccer and chess.
7. Justin used to be a street performer and sang Ne-Yo’s “So Sick” for local competition in a theater in Stratford where he scored a second place at the age of 12. That song was posted on YouTube where he became quite popular. Ne-Yo is his favorites among Craig David, Usher, Chris Brown and Justin Timberlake. He also loves to listen to Rihanna and wouldn’t wash his face after he got a kiss from her.
8. Justin’s popularity on YouTube drew Scooter Braun to contact him when he came across it in 2008. He later became his manager. Justin signed with Island records in the same year.
9. Justin’s debut single “One Time” made it to the top ten in Canada and in the top thirty in international markets.
10. Seven songs from his debut release “My World” in 2009 made it to Billboard Hot 100. He became the first to have achieved such heights. His “My World 2” followed in 2010 and got Platinum certified in the US as his previous release did. His hit single “Baby” is the most discussed and viewed video at YouTube.
11. Justin had won Artist of the Year Award at American Music Awards in 2010 and has been nominated as Best New Artist & Best Pop Vocal Album at the 53rd Grammy Awards.
12. Justin is 5’6 tall, likes giraffe, bananas and grapes, hates cats (a cat ate him in his dream), Piscean by zodiac, and is claustrophobic since he was 7.
13. Justin is termed as a “teen idol” due to the reason that he is so popular among teens that teen boys happily pay $150 just to have Justin’s hairstyle cut. While Justin gets an increased number of fans each minute, comments from his haters do make him cry sometimes. He’s just a teen.
14. Justin has dated singer and actress Selena Gomez and has been ranked as best-paid teen with a worth of $53 million.
15. Justin has an average population of over 2, 00,000 fans on face book, and over 60 comments per second on twitter with a hit of 1,000,000 followers as of January 30th, 2010.
