Once, a famous Announcer called upon Yasser Arafat as the leader of a Militant Group at an international forum where He was to deliver a speech. Yasser Arafat walked out in protest, the announcer feeling the gravity of situation made an unqualified apology for his untimely slip of tongue. It was during an era when Yasser Arafat had not even renounced Militancy. But here is our Karman Khan, who has left many wondering about the level of grey journalism he practices. We still remember what he did with former chief minister of sindh.
Anyone, that saw his ’soap show’ on the night when Chief justice of Pakistan rejected the Presidential notification regarding Judges Appointment was astonished by the level of cheap slangs he used against elected president. The words like Tabla-e jang baja deya, Hakumat kay mu per ak aur anda, ak aur tahpar, were below the belt blows and regretfully against the prestige of a news channel of Geo’s caliber. He appeared to be hell bent to convince people at large that this is the most hellish sin ever committed by any ruler in Pakistan. He seemed so charged up with his tone touching the high pitch notes coupled with his face expressions that I thought, had he been in control he would have kicked Zardari out of presidency. The Geo anchors are experts at sensationalizing anything to the extent that we the masses thing that its end of days for us.
It is now moral obligation of jang group to publish this letter as well as Karman Khan who seeks explanations from everybody to explain his attitude which is beyond the scope of true journalism.
