Before the visit of Europe, Prime Minister Yousuf Raza Gillani gave an interview to German DER SPIEGEL in Islamabad. To the questions he said that he had held the post at that time when Pakistan was suffering from life-threatening circumstances. According to him Pakistan is playing a part of Front Line State in the fight which will lead not only Pakistan or Asia but the entire world towards peace, love and prosperity. His job is too tough and he believes that he will complete his job successfully.
About Waziristan operation he discussed about military operations as he applied the policy for prosperity and betterment in initial stage but when extremists challenged the country except military operations government had nothing to do. To him their fight is with extremists who aren’t Pakistani but Afghani, Arab, etc and such terrorists are in contact with other foreign agencies who want to destroy the peace of the country.
He further discussed about the terrorism in Pakistan that when the name of Pakistan is taken then world just views Pakistan with the sight of terrorism. No doubt, terrorism has affected Pakistan badly but it shouldn’t be neglected that here there’s much which didn’t undergo any crisis. Here workers are afforded with security, especially those workers who are from different countries for instance, many foreigner engineers are working here.
Regarding the Drone attacks he told that Pakistan never rejected the help from the USA but the Drone attacks weren’t beneficial. Regarding the USA Pakistan is not limited with it till defence or intelligence but there’s a mutual cooperation in the field of trade, education, health, and economics even in the field of culture. Due to the Drone attacks the dwellers of the particular area get combined with extremists and that isn’t good. Moreover, the entire country feels the sense of enmity against the USA and the nation doesn’t take the fight as its own but the cooperation of the nation is must without which no war can be won; the cooperation of the nation is always required.
Like Swat he believes in the success of Waziristan.
