Sara Bareilles signed for NBC

A self-declared geek large chapel, Sara Bareilles has been signed for NBC to become a judge on singing “Sing Off” and the singer tells Billboard.com that he’s happy to have landed her first TV role applicants.
I was a big fan of the series, and I like the fact that it highlights a cappella music, said Bareilles, who performed a cappella group in college at UCLA. I think it is a kind of shows that I can add something to look forward, in terms of having a form of experience or expertise on it. I am certainly not a total expert in any way, but I am very passionate about it.
Bareilles, best known for his 2007 single “Love Song” hit No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last year, the third studio album, “Kaleidoscope Heart,” which has sold 344 000 copies since it was published, according to Nielsen SoundScan . He replaces former Pussycat Doll Nicole Scherzinger, who served as a judge alongside Ben Folds, and Shawn Stockman of the first two seasons of “Sing-off” before signing as a judge next U.S. edition of Fox “X Factor” .
In addition to sharing the judges’ table, folds and Bareilles be reached at his studio in Nashville this fall where he will be producing a new EP for her. Bareilles will also release a new single, “Gonna Get Over You” in the coming weeks and will be filming a video for the track, directed by actor Jonah Hill in August.
There are a lot on the table right now, but I feel really happy and inspired by what I have at any time, and I can only hope to remain in place for some time, Bareilles said.
The 3rd period of “Sing-Off,” makes first show on Sept. 19, and Bareilles – during the final of the season last year – says he can not wait, the caliber of competition. I was so blown away by the caliber of talent last season, he says, and so I’m just really happy to see, now that the race is even bigger than it was, what the groups have come out.
