At last the second semi final is done and two Asian teams have led to the battle field of Cricket World Cup 2011: Sri Lanka & India! But what was amiss in the semi final game of Pakistan vs. India?
Match-Fixing is the point:
I watched the entire match and I did feel that the match was fixed for the reason the way Pakistani team played was completely unpredictable and Pakistan plays such sort of games when they are involved in match fixing. The way they field and the way Misbah ul Haq, the great Pakistani batsman played was simply a surprise for all and sundry! I was truly taken aback by the team’s performance. Moreover, the Pakistani team was favorite!
Role of Politics in Semi final:
The other point behind the loss of Pakistani team can be the role of Pakistani Indian politics. 95 percent chances go for the match fixing by Indian and Pakistani politics; it sounds like Pakistani team was compelled by Yousuf Raza Gillani to lose the match so that they could have their demands fulfilled! That’s the reason behind match fixing otherwise the win was for Pakistanis for sure. No one could doubt over their victory!
It was clear from the face of Pakistani skipper Shahid Afridi that he was not that much concerned about the match. Even after their loss he looked calm and relaxed as if he already knew their loss.
But is it good for the country’s sports and the players that they work hard but their slog is murdered ruthlessly by Politicians!
I think Pakistani politicians are still unacquainted with the Indian politics’ tricks. Every time they dupe Pakistanis and the Kashmir issue is disregarded!
What do you think people what will be the future of Pakistani sports if India is performing as a challenger? Was that match-fixing?

But im not agrrey with writer about match fix issue..
I dont think about this match was fixed .but its ture that our batting line was so weak and hopeless. Middle order batting need to be replace and misbah ul haq and younis khan should take retirment now an let the new blood youngerster to take over. Afiridi should stay till next worldcup , Razzaq need to stay for next few more year. Kamran need life time rest now . He should now spend rest of time with his kids.

I don’t mind the result of the game if our team plays hard and tries to win. I think 4-5 catches can be dropped by Pakistan team in any match on a bad day. I think that our best boller can also perform poorly on bad day. But I don’t think that without being involved in match fixing Misbah could have played the way he did. He played beautifully and took a single on the last ball of every over creating more and more pressure on the other batsman. Everyone else got out trying to do something extravagant due to Misbah’s dead innings. Apparantly Misbah purposely made sure that he stays till the end, get the whole team out. and then get martyred trying to save the match.
Good work Misbah you should be acting in movies once you have been convicted for trision and match fixing.
NO match fixing at all……………simply you people write……dont write without any evidence……it is easy to talk…..but when you are on field you will understand….
I watched every single ball of every single game for Pakistan in this world cup. And I have a good general idea of what the team is capable of. I cannot say that the dropped catches were due to a fix because they should have been taken but none of them were easy catches, they were all tough tries. However, the way Misbah batted cannot be explained. It was NOT the indian bowling. I have also watched every game that Inida has played and Misbah was not on defense because of Munaf Patel’s bowling, the ball was not swinging that much to cause him to play like that. When things had slown down for Pakistan the Umar Akmal finally hit a couple of boundaries and then took a single on the first ball of the next over and turned the skrike over to Misbah, what Misbah did for the next 5 balls was unbelievable to me. He didn’t try to take a single, he played 5 defensive shots! He continued doing that until there was absolutely no chance of a Pakistan win. I’m not into conspiracy talk, but I know what I saw and that was not Misbah batting for a Pakistan win.
I feel that the politics got involved, invited by Mr. Singh, and the match surley was in some way fixed. There was no expression on Afridi’s afce whetaher he lost or won and rest of team is a garbage! They always throws matches in order to gain upper hand in kashmir, as far as I am concerned , its pakistani fans and public who are at lost!
I watched the big screen in Pakistan and ppl, its unbelievable what they have to go thru to have scum bags like these idiots in Team! This disease to pls india will gain nothing what so ever, indians will drop out fo talks and they wil be bak to sqaure one and itching licking thier wounds!
I am a die hard Indian but I firmly believe that India not win the world cup, actually India buy World cup, Indian team are not capable of winning event like World cup, and specially match against Pakistan. I cannot called ‘cricket diplomacy’ a proper and real cricket match, so for me Semi final was not a cricket match it was a scripted stage drama of very brilliant actors.
