And where Pakistan stands today!
March 21, 2010
News Worldwide — This article is neither about the political disasters that are taking place in Pakistan nor it is to tell the feeble who is suffering what in Pakistan. I am not going to discuss any latest news on Pakistan either but rather this piece of content is about the latest gadgets that develop in almost every other workshop of Pakistani society.

Despite all the lacking the poor people of Pakistan, they still have the power to make gold out of nothing. I was making a report on child labor few days back and amid my research I visited a number of workshops in different cities. To my amazement I found many engineers and electricians of children below 13. Though they were working in these workshops to earn there bread and butter and because life chose that for them but they were marvelous engineers in there own ways. A number of latest gadgets that were also cool gadgets came under my observation.
An interview with Amine who was 8 years old told me that he knew how to make a circuit. The science he was talking about is taught in science labs under great care and observation and is often prohibited to perform if under age.
Similarly, I came to know some more young guys who had too made some of the coolest gadgets I have ever seen. I journey to amazement did not end here and as I continued collecting material for my report, I came to know this guy Majid who did not knew his age but appeared to be below 12 years. Majid was an expert to fix car engine. He knew how to detect the fault and was working like an expert in his fathers workshop. The proudness in his eyes towards his work was worth watching. And though I still believe that child labour is against a child’s rights but all my research proved me that some times latest gadgets and some of the coolest gadgets can only be made by Majid’s and Amine’s only who are not free to chose their life but know what to discover and invent out of nothing.

Kamran Khan’s Geo
February 17, 2010
Latest news on Pakistan
Once, a famous Announcer called upon Yasser Arafat as the leader of a Militant Group at an international forum where He was to deliver a speech. Yasser Arafat walked out in protest, the announcer feeling the gravity of situation made an unqualified apology for his untimely slip of tongue. It was during an era when Yasser Arafat had not even renounced Militancy. But here is our Karman Khan, who has left many wondering about the level of grey journalism he practices. We still remember what he did with former chief minister of sindh.
Anyone, that saw his ‘soap show’ on the night when Chief justice of Pakistan rejected the Presidential notification regarding Judges Appointment was astonished by the level of cheap slangs he used against elected president. The words like Tabla-e jang baja deya, Hakumat kay mu per ak aur anda, ak aur tahpar, were below the belt blows and regretfully against the prestige of a news channel of Geo’s caliber. He appeared to be hell bent to convince people at large that this is the most hellish sin ever committed by any ruler in Pakistan. He seemed so charged up with his tone touching the high pitch notes coupled with his face expressions that I thought, had he been in control he would have kicked Zardari out of presidency. The Geo anchors are experts at sensationalizing anything to the extent that we the masses thing that its end of days for us.

It is now moral obligation of jang group to publish this letter as well as Karman Khan who seeks explanations from everybody to explain his attitude which is beyond the scope of true journalism.

Pashtun culture and Taliban are not one!
February 11, 2010
Political news check reports’:Pashtun culture is literally identified as people that speak Pashto and follow some specific norms of life mostly aiming at some social and political. The reality though is somewhat interlinked with the same sense of definition yet there is a lot that needs to be disclosed for a general understanding of the term Pashtun culture itself. The local inhabitant of Afghanistan and northern NWFP basically are pathans that have Pashtun culture as a norm to spend life.
Recently the Pashtun culture began to be recognized as one of Talibans’ way of life. But facts and reports from authentic sources conclude that the concept of Talibanization is far different than Pashtun culture. Call it unfortunate for pathans and Pashtun culture that the locality which is the demographic location of Pashtoons and the language are mostly the same; such as both Taliban and Pashtoons speak Pashto and live in Afghanistan or northern parts of north west frontier province of Pakistan.
Here are few differences that are visible and noteworthy in Taliban and Pashtun culture.
Pashtun culture revolves around Khan’s and Malik’s while Talibani culture revolves around an ideology. This difference among Pashtun culture and Taliban was heightened when Taliban in the very beginning of their up rise killed many tribal heads which were either Khans’ or Maliks’. It is believed that this stance was motivated to achieve a goal that aimed to make Pashtoons understand that Pashtun culture cannot tie them anymore.
Another huge difference between Taliban and Pashtun culture is that Pashtun culture focuses on these five fundamental concepts:
Pashtun culture, Nang
Pashtun culture ,Namoos which means self respect
Pashtun culture, Milmastiya meaning hospitality
Pashtun culture, Baadal that means revenge
And Pashtun culture Pakhtoonwali

while Taliban have total opposite mindset. It does appear in mind that Taliban do have one fundamental aspect similar to that of Pashtun culture which is Pashtun culture, Baadal but as mentioned above it means revenge whereas Taliban have been killing people for no reason other than to achieve certain goals.
Before I end this subject matter, I will also like to mention here that the word Taliban literally means students in Pashto language which historically prove to be true but later the word turned into Talibanization to represent a group of people that were found in militant activities.

Dr. Aafia Siddiqui case is still controversial
February 5, 2010
Latest news on Pakistan: Much heated case of Dr. Aafia Siddiqui release demand seems still controversial to me. Why a lady is highlighted so much by people and political groups who merely do not grant women their fundamental rights? Why are we hearing all the protest by some fundamental groups of Pakistani polity and not other political elite? If though there is some voice coming from secular political parties; it certainly appears to be dirty politics and not true passion.

If CIA and other intelligence is provided against Dr. Aafia Siddiqui, why do not we consider it and have a glace what facts talk about. The mass protest against her release becomes more controversial when Mulana type of leaders talk about her release in Pakistan. They do give a clear gesture of her associations with Militancy and her efforts for female recruitment in Taliban organizations. Her personal life upheavals and her relationship with her husband are another aspect highlighting why she could not settle her life.
