Catholic Belief on the Assumption of Mary
According to Catholic teachings, the Assumption of Mary was the physical taken up of Mary in the Heaven after she reached the end of her life. In the churches that observe it on every august 15, the Assumption is a main feast day. In several countries it is a Catholic Holy Day of Obligation.
Protestants Belief on the Assumption of Mary
The Assumption of Mary remains a controversial belief. One reason for this controversy is that despite it was initially found in the 5th century yet it is not clearly referred in the Bible while the Roman Catholic Church roots the belief on some other added effective authority.
Bottom Line
The difference of opinion between the assumption of Mary exits despite there are some Protestants that do believe in it.
