Environmental bearing by tornado

Not in reality. Tornado showcases the raw power of nature, but in the grand scheme of the environmental threats – global warming, for example, or agricultural run-off and algal blooms – they barely register.
Mull over the size. The average tornado is only 200 feet to 500 feet in diameter, and is ongoing in about 1,500 feet. The biggest storms can trace a journey of a mile wide and more than 30 miles on the ground. (Rarely visible damage over a mile outside the direct path of a tornado.) Comparison of the hurricanes, which average 300 miles in diameter, with a total area of 70,000 square kilometers directly affected a time. the largest forest fires in the United States burned more than 4,000 square kilometers of land. The tsunami flooded 2011 181 square miles in Japan. The earthquakes have damaged buildings around 50,000 square kilometers.
Tornadoes also poor relationship. A tornado usually begins around 10,000 kilowatt hours of energy – the equivalent of nine tons of TNT. A hurricane is approximately 10 billion kilowatt-hours. A magnitude 9 earthquake releases over 550 million kilowatt-hours of energy – the equivalent of 475 million tons of TNT or 25,000 nuclear bombs.

Although tornadoes relatively little to the total energy, energy is concentrated in a small area. Therefore, if a tornado struck a particularly sensitive region, which could cause serious damage to the environment. Fortunately, Tornado Alley in the U.S., where a quarter of the nation’s largest strike tornadoes, not exactly a coral reef. Includes parts of Colorado, Kansas, Nebraska, Oklahoma, South Dakota and Texas. Of course, there are 16 endangered species living in those states – rabbit as robust adorable name – but the area is considered a priority by environmentalists.
Without a doubt, Conservation International has identified only one of the “biodiversity hotspots” across the United States, the California floristic province along the west coast. Only two moderately strong tornadoes have occurred in California since 1950, when a zero deaths. (Distribution Tornado is not set in stone: 2008 study found that global climate change might increase the frequency of tornado-friendly conditions in some parts of the world, including the United States in south-east).

Hurricanes represent a far greater threat to biodiversity than twisters. Much of the Caribbean has been declared an environmentally sensitive area, 50 percent of its plants and 46 percent of its mammals are found nowhere else on Earth. Hurricanes can threaten entire ecosystems by temporarily raising the water level, erosion of the coastal strip fragile and delicate contaminating saltwater marshes
Tornado ‘biggest threats to the environment because of their impact on human activities. Twister can damage storage facilities or processing of waste, polluting the surrounding areas. Or it can break the chemical factory, releasing poisonous stuff into groundwater.
